What I would tell the man I used to be

Written to the man standing at the fence years ago, still certain he was about to solve something.

You think you're choosing happiness.

You think nobody understands your marriage.

You think this new attention means something deeper.

You think starting over means starting clean.

I know why you believe it. Because I'm you. And I'm writing from the other side of the fence.

The full letter is being written

This one isn't being drafted quickly, and it isn't being padded out with scenes that didn't happen. The full letter goes out to the movement list first, then it lives here permanently.

Until then, the same argument is already worked out in the essays and in the four fence paths below — nothing here is being withheld to sell you something.

Editorial content only. Not therapy, legal or medical advice. Nothing here asks anyone to stay in abuse, violence, coercion or fear.
